Back in Houston

So I'm back in Houston. My cousin got married in San Antone! It was a great, grand ceremony. The (hindu) priest actually translated the Sanskrit into English and explained everything. I'm very happy for her especially because her husband is such a nice guy.

Driving around SA is very weird for me because my family left SA right when I started to drive. Even though Houston must have four times the traffic (at least), SA has more complicated highways. To stay on the highway you're on, you have to take an exit. Did that make any sense?

Well so much for fun; got to get back to the grind. Today (monday) felt like a holiday as almost nothing got done. From here on I have something major to worry about everyday (but I am not alone in that). But I'll be okay, I've done this before. Just gotta worry about tomorrow, everyday.

Houston Texans

My dad got tickets for the football game today and at the last moment I decided not to go because I had to finish up a paper. Boy was that a great decision. 31-7 at the half! Can the Texans play any worse?

At this point I'm split between wanting them to win a given game and wanting them to keep losing so that we can get Reggie Bush or Matt Leinert. I didn't pay much attention to football last year but how did we regress this much? The roster is not that different, right?

My dad ended up leaving at the half. He didn't miss much.

Global Warming

Getting political already. This is a bad sign.

There's a virtual march to Washington to raise the issue of global warming. I know that sounds pretty lame but hey its easier than an actual march. It's been organized by Laurie David, wife of Larry David who is the creator of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm. If you watch CYE Laurie David is the real "Cheryl David". There's also a comedy festival going on which is going to be on TBS called Earth to America this sunday at 7c. Anyway you don't need to be a fan of the show(s) to get behind this movement.

Click here to be counted in the virtual march.

Welcome

Ok, so I'm giving in and setting up a blog. You can thank Kashif and Long for making me do this.

Can't promise anything special; just that it will be totally random and it may be a mix of my opinions (on videogames, sports, movies and TV), complaints about courseload and maybe some philosophy.
